Fred Meyer Knows When Super Smash Bros. On Wii U Is Coming

Posted by Streex on September 14, 2014 at 9:55 PM Comments comments ()

Retailer Fred Meyer has just released preorder cards for Super Smash Bros. on Wii U with a release date of November 21. Release date confirmed? Well, there is an asterisk stating that the release date is subject to change so I would still consider this a rumor, even if they are printing and selling these as confirmed. If Super Smash Bros. were to release on this date, then that would place it a week before Black Friday...

Today Nintendo thought it was time to go over a few new details about the upcoming Bayonetta 2, and it looks like we'll be getting even more outfits to wear. To go with the Peach, Link, and Samus outfits, you can also dress up as Fox McCloud and Daisy. The outfits themselves do more than make you look different, because each will grant you special abilities. The Samus suit will let you Morph Ball, battle with Arwings...

Aonuma Listening To Fans As He Creates Zelda For Wii U

Posted by Streex on August 29, 2014 at 3:15 AM Comments comments ()

Eiji Aonuma wants to make sure we are as pleased as possible with the new Zelda game for Wii U he is working on, so he is letting it known that he is taking fan reaction to the E3 trailer into consideration during development. This sounds great on paper. We love when developers truly care what we think, but I hope he is careful in his decisions. The vocal minority don't always reflect what the majority is looking for. O...

Posted by Streex on August 27, 2014 at 2:50 AM Comments comments ()

Right after we get a heaping dose of leaked Super Smash Bros. news, Nintendo drops a beefy load of Mario Kart 8 DLC info. This November (or preorder tomorrow!), for only $8, you can download pack 1 which includes 3 characters (Tanooki Mario, Cat Peach, and Link), 4 new vehicles, and 8 new courses. Call me cray cray, but that sounds like one hell of a deal. In May next year, get ready for pack 2 which will have another 3 n...

Arcade Titles We'd Like To See On Wii U

Posted by Streex on August 24, 2014 at 11:45 PM Comments comments ()

Ah the good ol' days. Early consoles didn't give us the opportunity to play 4-player games, but it didn't matter. We went down to the local arcade and found some really good titles that ate our quarters daily. Now that consoles easily support up to 4 or more players, some of these greats have entered our living rooms on other consoles, but not on Wii U. Even 3DS has Space Harrier! I would drop a few bucks in a heartbeat...

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Won't Find Market On Wii U

Posted by Streex on August 24, 2014 at 9:00 PM Comments comments ()

It's been an off-again, on-again deal with rumors on the arrival of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for Wii U. Now it seems, the final answer is no. Activision has had success with the franchise on Wii, selling over a million units with each title (over 2M with Call of Duty 3) except for Modern Warfare 3 (740K), but Black Ops II and Ghosts on Wii U could only muster up 240K andd 170K respectively. We can get upset a...

Zero Suit Alternative Costumes Force Gamers To Find Clean Pants

Posted by Streex on August 22, 2014 at 3:25 AM Comments comments ()

Samus has been the pin up girl for gamers for several years now thanks to her Zero Suit, and now she's changing into something a little more comfortable. Alternative Zero Suit costumes have been announced for Samus in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U that have her wearing a work out bra and boyshorts. Seems Nintendo is trying to make her just a little bit more sexy, but is it crossing the line? When you compare this to girls i...

Ubisoft Done Bringing Mature Games To Wii U After Watch_Dogs

Posted by Streex on August 20, 2014 at 5:05 AM Comments comments ()

It's the end of the road for Mature rated games on Wii U from Ubisoft. Just bring out Boyz II Men to sing their 1991 classic now, because after Watch_Dogs comes out this fall, that's it. The main reason, coming from Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, is that Nintendo gamers just don't buy Mature rated games. They have seen poor sales from the Assassin's Creed titles and refuse to give Wii U the next one. But ZombiU sold 7...
