Screenshots :: Costume Quest 2 is a Bag Full of Fun This Halloween

If you managed to play Costume Quest on another platform, you don't have to anymore for the sequel. Costume Quest 2 will arrive on the Wii U this Halloween, and why not? The RPG takes place on Halloween and has you take control of trick-or-treaters Reynold and Wren, battling the evil Grubbins, and using different costumes that grant you different special powers. The original scared up some nice reviews for the Xbox 360 version, so why don't you pour through the details and screenshots and see if this game is going to keep you indoors this Halloween.

  • perfect the timing on attacks and you'll get an opportunity for a double follow-up attacks
  • wider variety of Halloween costumes with some fan favorites from the first game returning
  • at least four new playable costumes: the Clown, the Superhero, the Pterodactyl and the Candy Corn
  • The Clown is a healer and can replenish the hit points of his or her teammates with a move called Laughter is the Best Medicine
  • The Superhero is styled to look like the superman of Double Fine's Middle Manager of Justice
  • the Superhero attacks with big punches and can throw a bus for an area of effect attack
  • the Candy Corn does absolutely nothing
  • features an achievement for players who wear the Candy Corn costume the entire game
  • your party's health won't automatically regenerate after each battle
  • you'll have to find water fountains to replenish your hit points
  • includes cards that you can use to enhance battle abilities
  • purchase cards from vendors or earn them by completing tasks
  • some cards may take a few battles to recharge before they can be used again
  • all the kids wear Heelys, letting them move quickly
  • one side quest involves Clown's horn
  • the kids want to join a New Orleans-style jazz band, but the band demands that you get them an audience to play for
  • get together a crowd and you'll be able to play a rhythm-based mini-game that rewards you with candy
  • hunt down hidden pinatas that are stuffed with candy
  • if you beat up those pinatas rhythmically, they'll unleash more candy
