Matthew999 started this popular thread in the old forums, thought we'd get it burning over here too. My latest retail delight is... Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D So far so good. Framerate falls now and then but it almost feels like this game should have originally been built for the 3DS. The constant moving from different plains in the foreground and background really shine when the 3D is on. Only problem is on the tiny screens of the 3DS, when you move to the background you are really tiny. An eyestrain! Still not perfect, but still a worthy purchase.

I am 50/50 on how worthwhile it is. I have to disagree on it being made for a handheld, the controls are far more cramped and in heated played sessions with the 3D on its really sabotage. No added waggle, though. Havent gotten to the bonus levels yet, so I don't know if teyre cool enough to be worth the double dip.

The waggle is what I least liked about the Wii version. They felt tacked on and made it more difficult. I'm only on world 2 so let us know what you think of those bonus levels when you get there.

Bonus levels are cool but I wouldn't say they are harder than the secret levels of each world when all the KONG letters are collected. Kinda disappointing.

If that game was built for anyone, it was built for you Luke. Good purchase! I'm still on the fence because I never finished Wild World and hardly even started City Folk. I gotta lot of Animal Crossing on my plate and those games aren't short!

Wild World was dog mess wrapped in squirrel shit. Don't waste your time. City Folk was, meh. This New Leaf seems a return to form.

Game and Wario - Starting to think maybe I should have just kept bitching about no games on the WiiU. Its like Nintendo land where 1 or 2 games are fun, the rest are just garbage. So far the only game the wife and I liked was the Pictionary clone.

Heard very mixed reviews. Really wanna try it due to the Miiverse finctionality. But I'm banned and all, so...

I second the hearing of mixed reviews. Wanna try still. Let's fire it up on Wii U Wednesday Triz.

I bought game & Wario and I think its great fun. Already put about 10 hours into it, and I think only a few of the games are stinkers. Miiverse Sketch alone is good fun, and the multiplayer games have had my wife and I in "pictionary" mode for a few days now. Also bought Need for Speed Most Wanted U ($30 now at Walmart!) and I gotta say, its awesome. I pretty consistently crash, and can't beat any of the races. And I still enjoy just driving around, outrunning police, making huge jumps, and crashing the shit outta my expensive Lambourghini. lol All in all 2 retail purchases well worth it IMO.

I also thought Game & Wario was awesome. Recent reviews coming in are more favorable. Still don't know any sales numbers yet besides 60K from Japan but whatever. Good purchase.

Disney Infinity for the PS3. Currently broken and cant play it and heavy amounts of rage to be dealt at Disney. $175 spent on product that is sitting in my entertainment center collecting dust. From what I did play I loved though. Only missing 3 of the power discs and have about half the characters.

To double up on that purchase, I also picked up... Disney Infinity At the same time Triz did I might add. There was a small line in front of Toys R Us of about 10 people, and about 50 people walked in and out of the Infinity section before we left. But one grandma was there for the haul. She loaded up a shopping cart overflowing with nothing but Infinity merch. She also made a comment when I arrived to meet Triz in line. "Uh Oh, the gamers are here!" lol. Right now I have 6 power discs and 5 characters. Pretty fun game but the Toy Box isn't for me. I like adventuring through the levels. Good game. I'd say buy but only if you're ready to invest further. No reason to get it if you're just going to stick to the starter pack. Need to get a good collection of figures for the best experience.

I went retail suckas! New Super Luigi U Maybe I'm the sucka for paying an extra $10 for the box and manual, but a collector always goes retail when possible. Love the extra challenge. I think it's funny that as soon as you start a new level the 'time is running out' jingle immediately plays. My wife thought I was crazy because she saw me holding the box at Best Buy and since it's green, she thought I was checking out a 360 game. I guess she thought the world was ending. lol

Hitting retail more than digital this week finally. Playing catch up. Pikmin 3 Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Wii Party U Pikmin 3 plays and looks like a dream. The way they bring you into this game with the introductory levels with each guy is much better than before. Redisocvering the pikmin is an amazing experience all over again. 480K sold so far, but this game has potential to reach a million. Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, haven't started yet, but I've loved the 3 earlier games in the franchise so I had to get this. Triz loved it so that is saying something. lol. 750K sold so far for this title but you can bet it will reach a million by years end. And finally Wii Party U. Wii Party was a family favorite for game nights, so I had to get this. I'd only rent it if it wasn't a go to for game nights. Still fun and this time it also comes bundled with a Horizontal Stand. They had to because 6 of the games use only the GamePad, and because of the ergonomic bump on the back, it sits uneven on a flat surface. The Horizontal Stand makes it so it is level. I'd only recommend renting this one for most people.

I helped this game grab the most sales last month Pokemon Y Had to do it! I'll add this to the stack of other Pokemon games I have to play. And there are a lot of them. Good thing is that every time I finally get to another one, I always enjoy my experience. Can't wait until I get to this one.
